Seven days in Lima: eat big at lunch, budget for traffic, skip the pricey dinners

Lima costs more than most of Latin America except at lunch, so build the week around cheap lunch menus and lighter dinners. Food safety is rated great, so street ceviche and market stalls are fine, but stick to bottled water since tap water isn't drinkable. Traffic is bad, so plan transport around it rather than against it.
